The latest edition of the Berliner Wein Trophy saw a shower of gold medals awarded to the wines of CANTINE RIONDO, a member of the Collis Veneto Wine Group.

Awarded four golds, Cantine Riondo once again confirms its ongoing quality:

GRAND GOLD medal for Casalforte Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG Riserva 2016

GOLD medal for Casalforte Prosecco DOC E.Dry

GOLD medal for Riondo Prosecco Millesimato 2020

GOLD medal for Riondo Prosecco Frizzante

A growing acclaim for the Casalforte brand, the winery’s premium line, which received the highest honour for its Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG Riserva 2016, a blend of the finest batches of Casalforte Amarone, of which only a few progressively numbered unique pieces are available.

The star of the range, Casalforte Amarone Riserva is an important, full-bodied wine that exudes great elegance and finesse, highlighting the natural expression of the fruit with two more years of ageing in wood.

The vineyards from which the fine grapes are obtained are located in three different valleys to the east of Verona, namely the valleys of Mezzane, Marcellise and Tregnago/Illasi, which are very different from each other in terms of exposure, altitude and type of soil. It is precisely this diversity that gives rise to different varietal profiles that render the wine rich, complex and at the same time harmonious.

Confirmation of the highest quality also for the Riondo brand, in its various interpretations of Prosecco, aimed at the professional and retail channels. The vines are grown between the provinces of Vicenza and Padua, territories that offer favourable environmental conditions for its development, such as a generally temperate climate, rainfall that favours the correct vegetative development of the vine, and soil rich in minerals and microelements.

Cantine Riondo was founded in 2008 as a company focused on marketing the wines produced by the Collis Veneto Wine Group. The organisational model proved to be an immediate success and in just a few years the company was able to reach important milestones. It distributes through both traditional and modern channels in Italy and worldwide, with five brands that identify different varietal lines of the best DOP and IGP production from Veneto.
